Online: Donating online is our easiest option. You can donate using any major credit card, debit card, or your PayPal account here.
Please note: while we do accept international donations, all transactions will be converted to USD ($). To donate in GBP (£), visit our UK site at www.charitywater.org/uk/donate.
Security for online donations: We use Stripe to securely process all online donations. Don't worry -- you don't need an account with them to donate to charity: water, and we'll never share your information with anyone.

If you're donating in honor of someone, sponsoring a water project, or want to direct your donation to our operations costs, please write this in the memo of your check.
Fundraising campaigns: Want to donate to a friend's fundraising campaign? You can do this either by donating directly on their campaign page or by mailing us a check.
To donate online: Go to their campaign page, click "donate" and fill out your credit card, debit card, or PayPal information.
To donate by check: Mail us your check with the campaign name in the memo line and please specify that the gift is to be applied to a fundraising campaign. Checks must be received and processed before the end date of a fundraiser to be applied.
International donations:
Currently, charity: water US is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit in the US and an ANBI in the Netherlands. charity: water UK is a dual-qualified charity registered in England and Wales.
If you're based outside these countries, you should consult with a qualified advisor regarding the tax or equivalent rules covering deductibility in your country. This information is not intended to be legal or tax advice.
At this time, we are not working towards becoming a registered charity elsewhere. Although your donations may not be tax-deductible in your country, we appreciate your support as we are an organization with an international focus.
For USD money orders, please collect donations in your currency, then mail a USD money order to:

Money orders should be made payable to charity: water. At this time, we don't accept foreign checks; however, international banks can and will make checks out in USD for you, if you go in and ask. You can then mail us that check, using our address listed above.
